TARGET

"Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."
Hebrew 12:2

Times have changed.
Life that is once simple, now is in a complicated web of things. Too much distraction, too much noise, too much things going on. Time seemed to run out. Days and nights seemed to go by so fast, that the only time we believe it's taking longer than usual is when we're stuck in a traffic jam or a boring class lecture. Technology has grown larger, more larger that so much stuff has occupied everyone's daily lives. From cellular phones to music players, from computers to sleek-designed laptops, from flat screen TV to ipad. People succumbed to the pull of innovative materials, to what their eyes and ears perceive as appealing. And at the end of the day, we feel weary, too tired and busy to even take time to do those seemingly forgotten important details in our lives.

To woorship Him.
To take time to read the Bible, to sing praises to glorify Him after a long day. We think Facebook-ing or lounging in the sofa to watch TV is the easiest and least burdensome to do, in order to relax completely. We forget what is more essential. We turn our backs on what is relevant. We shut our hearts from the main focus of our lives.

JESUS.
That special man who died on the cross for our sins.
That child of God sent to Earth to redeem us for our shortcomings.
That Holy Being who continually call to us, trying to get our attention.

But we fail to hear with our ears plugged with blaring music from our player...
we fail to realize with our eyes glued in the latest Facebook status of our online friends...
we fail to feel with our hearts too buried in tons of stress and worldy things to think...

Jesus is patiently waiting.
He's there, wanting us to take notice, to heed His call.
In the long run, no matter how successful we are in life, we'd never feel that satisfaction we believe is there in our every accomplishment.
If we do it for men and not for Him, it's not even close to true success.

He is our focus in life.
He is our target.
He is, first and foremost, the reason why we're all living in this world.
And one day, He is the reason why we're all leaving this earth to live in that grandeur place, He promised us as our home.

So why not take a moment to talk to Him?
Inside your room, as the silence envelops you, listen with your heart ... and you'll hear.
That soft voice speaking, telling you everything is going to be okay.
That He will help you along the way.

Believe.
And stay focus on the real essence of our lives ~ JESUS.
